Lake Ray Roberts Fishing Guide Reviews
We spent the day with Justin, my husband, myself and our two kids, and we caught an incredible amount of sand bass and had an absolute blast – felt like fishing with a buddy. Justin was extremely helpful and taught my children how to cast their lines. That day will be a great family memory for us, so thank you so very much. We’ll be back!
My 14 yo son and I recently enjoyed a half day trip with Jim. He certainly put us in the right position to catch fish and taught us quite a bit along the way. Highly recommend him if you are looking for a great guide for Lake Ray Roberts.
Went out on September 17 and the family had a blast. Kids are tomorrow’s sportsman and Jim made sure my son caught plenty of fish!!! We caught our limit of Sandies in no time and had threw several back. Got a nice blue cat as a bonus.
Jim is so friendly and knowledgeable! He knows lake Ray Roberts like the back of his hand. We have fished with him twice now and came home with the limit both times! Love him! We will be back!
We have been on several trips with Jim over the years. On every occasion he put us on the fish in a timely manner. He is honest, professional, and totally customer focused. If you have a reservation but the fish are not active, he will call and give you the option to reschedule. His knowledge of the lake goes back to the time of construction. This knowledge gives him clear and concise detail of the structure and fish habitat in the lake. But there is one attribute that sets Jim apart for many other business people, he treats you like a friend and makes you feel welcome anytime you are on his boat. Thanks Jim! We will be back as soon as the freezer is empty again.
My daughter and I just spent a wonderful morning fishing with Jim Walling on Lake Ray Roberts. He is the guide with UCatchem Guide Service. Catchem is right! Jim knew exactly where to go to find the feeding white bass. We both caught well over 30 fish and kept a few to eat. Jim fileted the ones we kept. We met him at the state park at Ray Roberts and left from the boat ramp. It is a wonderful park that we camped in two years ago. It has nice campsites, a wonderful trail for hiking or biking, and a “beach” for swimming. We are not experienced fishermen, so having a guide was very helpful. He was not only knowledgeable, but very friendly and easy to talk to. He had all the equipment for us to use, as well as life jackets, and a fantastic boat. He was patient with my daughter and helped her with casting and taking the fish off the hook. Quickly she was catching fish and removing them all herself(except the catfish!) We fished for about 5 hours and the cost was well worth it.
